I know that Tony at Airborrn Aviation at KMPI bought an "F" intended to go in the rental fleet. When I moved out of CA, they were still prepping it. Don't know whether it ever made it or not.

Sorry, DavidB, I was the "razor" who put the deposit down. I, too, have been lurking around waiting for an Encore to show up for three years or so. Having seen some of the prices others have gone at, I just figured there was some room for minor problems at this asking price, and if there were major problems, I could walk at the inspection. It is, indeed, a very tight market, which played a role in how I chose to navigate the purchase process. P.S. What exactly is a "razor" in this context?? :-) I guess I'm not down with the cool kids, if I have to ask.
