I've got a '65 E with a "classic" instrument panel and my ADI is going bad. Has anyone actually installed a D10A in the old Mooney panel? I'm considering the D10A over the G5 because I know the D10A is part of the eventual Skyview STC that I seriously want to put in. I searched the site but I haven't seen any evidence that anybody has actually installed a D10A yet. Thanks!

My 66 E was repainted in 2010 or 2011 and the N number was done in 2" letters. At an FBO recently and a mechanic said he thought the size was no longer legal. I read an advisory circular about it and there appears to be an exemption for classic/antique airplanes, but It is confusing and I can't tell if it applies. Anyone run into this issue and have some insight?

I've got a '66 E with a UBG-16 and FP-5L, but no recording functions. I'm considering options to get data logging (I know the MUX-8A is an option, but I don't have one installed) and better functionality overall. Is there any benefit to staying with EI (CGR-30P and CGR-30C), ie. could I reuse probes? If not, I'm considering putting an EDM 900, but I'm guessing that will be about 7-8k after labor. Any thoughts?
