1994 M20J - want to replace the four landing/taxi lights in the wings with LED replacements. What’s the best option for this. Looking for opinions and advice. -
I have a buddy with a RV-8 running the dual P-Mags . Has 500 hrs on them now and they have been flawless. Now when he first built the airplane he was having issues. Turned out that the company that built the engine didn't install "blast tubes". I guess these are to help cool the P-Mags. As soon as they were installed, everything ran perfect. All in all, I guess its a little more critical to make sure those things stay cool.

Thank you everyone for your help and input. After a little research and some refining of my search skills, I did come up with some info on Emag and ElectroAire. Unfortunately, I have the IO-360-A3B6D with the dual Bendix Mag. From what I can tell, Due to having the dual Bendix Mag disqualifies me from going to Electronic ignition. I'm scheduled to go to Don Maxwell's on the 22nd for a tank seal so I will inquire with him on the matter to see if I have any options.

We have them in our J Model and love them. Got them at Oshkosh after being beat up by the sun due to the small factory visors. Rosen's are bigger and do take up a little more room in our cabin but its well worth the trade off to me. I no longer get sunburned on one side of my face.

Anyone here run electronic ignition on the IO-360 ? I'm looking for input or experiences with it.

So the left wing aft position light burned out on my 94 M20j. 201. Anyone have a part # for the bulb and the clear lense ?

So I have a 94 M20J with a 28 volt system. I would like to have my iPad and ADS-B Receiver plugged into a USB plug. Problem is, I think my cigarette plug is 28 volt. I saw a usb charger by mygoflight that is supposed to accept 28 volts but it has received really bad reviews. A couple people have even stated that it destroyed their iPads and Stratus receivers... Thoughts ?

Anyone know who makes the LED replacement ? Just talk to Whelen, they don't have a LED conversion. Whelen told me these are a made to order item. I basically order with one of the Whelen dealers and they special order with Whelen. Looks as if these were only on the Mooney's.

I have a 1994 M20J and one of my Recog lights burned out. Can I replace just the bulb or does the whole bulb projector have to be replaced ? I took the clear lense off and tried to look for my self. I couldn't figure out how to pull just the bulb out of the fixture. looked to me as if you have to replace the whole fixture. 2 wires went up to the back of the fixture but they had some form of hardened putty over the connecter. I guess a sealant of some kind ? Any help is much appreciated. I believe these are 25 watt - 28 volt bulbs.
