My thought was the regulator b/c I completely rebuilt the connector, and it still doesn't work. Prior to this I also pinned in a 12V battery through the connector and it worked. It does have the regulator. I have previously removed and inspected it. It is a very simple circuit with just a transistor and a few resistors. My guess is that the transistor failed, it is the most likely culprit. Does that match with any of y'alls thoughts? Thanks for the help

I'm having an issue that despite all of our tries, we can't seem to isolate. The low electric boost pump setting in my 252 is not working. I'm out of ideas, and anything you guys have to offer would be grand. Here is the what we have tried: 1. New Electric fuel pump (old pump had same problem, so we had it overhauled) 2. Pump works fine with switch in Hi 3. Pump inop with switch in low 4. With 12V battery connected directly to pump, it operated normally in low 5. Voltage checked at pump cannon plug. Hi produced 24V and low produced 12V 6. Rewired cannon plug and ground, no fix 7. Power across switch is normal I'm out of ideas to approach. I took out the fuel pump regulator and inspected, it looked fine. Besides, the power is correct at the cannon plug. Is it possible that the boost pump regulator isn't putting out enough amps? How would I test that if it isn't at a load? Thank you for any ideas, Joe

Thanks Jose, good answer. The wire was not cut but looks like it got pulled out when I was pulling out the power panel to get to the breakers. Does anyone have a picture of the inverter or where it is located, so I can wire it back up?

What is the inverter in my M20k (252) giving power to? I'm in the middle of the rats nest phase of an avionics upgrade, and I'm trying to determine if it is still neededand cleaning up under the panel (read: the wire from the breaker is cut and I have no idea what is was plugged to). So I'm in the middle of an upgrade from factory installed King to some Garmin goodies. My factory KT76a power runs through a large Dale resistor between source power and KT76a....why? im installing a GTX330ES, there isn't anything in the wiring diagram about a resistor. Can I remove the resistor and wire power straight to the 330? thanks Joe

Hey guys, I'm in the process of a panel upgrade, and doing the fun disassembly process. What are the mass of yellow black wires going to, this is a stock panel from SN 86 M20k 25-1028? They were attached into radio harnesses and are going to pilot side wall up under the windshield (out of sight). I suspect/hope this is going to a common ground board. Then I can use it for wiring grounds in my approach fast stack. Cheers Joe

Hello professional mooniacs How do I know when it is time to change the motor mounts on a M20K 252. The last time they where changed is when the previous owner replaced the engine in 1998. It has only flown 450 hrs since then. The rubber is still compliant and not dried hard like the gear biscuits. I hate to do it if not necessary due to time and COST. Cheers Joe

I have some oil seeping from the push rod tube seals (case side). I am going to replace the seals. Is there a trick to compressing the seal and getting the push rod tube out? I noticed that Real Gaskets sales a tool, is it worth the $41? Cheers Joe

Hey guys. I found a leak the other day from my mechanical fuel pump on my M20K 252 (Continental TSIO360MB1B). It appears to be either coming from the outer gasket on the back side of the pump, or from the plug. See illustration. I can't find a part # for that gasket in the continental parts books. Any ideas? Part #s? Experience?
