  1. What ever happened with your 'YettiTow' project?
  2. WOW! I second the motion; a business owner ranting like that only reinforces the validity of others complaints/concerns. A satisfied customer helps sell a product. A bitter owner may explain why you're hard pressed to find said satisfied customer. Speaking of satisfaction, I'll be glad when the whacky winter is over. Hopefully there'll be a cool spring this year and not jump right into hot & humid.
  3. A write-up on this mount can be found at 'www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-apple-ipad-mini-retina-display-mount-cradle-ram-hol-ap14ru.html' As Steve said, if you see a 'U' after any of the RAM product numbers, it just denotes that it is packaged in a clear poly-bag.
  4. There are reviews (search: minimax tug reviews) on other forums discussing problems with Minimax and their tugs. There's a Minimax video review on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OSBMS_D8_Y) showing several of the issues. I'll go the used tractor mower turned aircraft tower route.
  5. Do you have the original iPad mini or an iPad mini with Retina Display? The iPad mini with Retina Display is slightly thicker and it made a difference for me. I originally tried the RAM part number (RAM-HOL-AP14U) that Marauder listed and not only was it tight, it peeled up the corners of my screen protector trying to insert it. That's when I found out there is a specific holder for the iPad mini with Retina Display, it is RAM-HOL-AP14R (the 'R' is for 'Retina'). I swapped out the holder for the correct one and it made a BIG difference. Keep in mind this RAM holder requires the iPad mini to be inserted without a case/cover.
  6. I was in the market for a tug and found recent reviews on other forums discussing the problems various customers had with Minimax when their tugs didn't perform. There is a YouTube video review at www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OSBMS_D8_Y that shows the various problems. Based on what I've read, I'm now in the market for a used lawn tractor to convert to a tug. A $100-$200 used tractor sure beats any potential issues with Minimax's $1,400 tug.
