I understand completely, I don't like Big Brother either. I think you will find that many if not most Android apps ask for several permissions like this. In my case they could not do the app without them. On my iPhone it only asks for location if I want to see myself on the Google map, and that can be answered yes or no. Not sure if you can decline on the Android. As far as I am concerned, all they will get from looking into my phone is a bunch of airplane pictures and bad political jokes people send me. Sorry it won't work for you. Rocket, I agree totally, and I don't use or see those permissions. This is mostly a Android issue. They are for several add on's that are standard in the app business. For example, my app will only ask for location, and that is if you want to see your own location on the Google map. The other permissions I do not use, for example the ability to post pictures, then that app would ask to have access to your photos. When I questioned my app company about this, this is there response: Dear iBuildApp Users, With over 1 million customers, and 30,000+ downloads, iBuildApp prides itself in being able to make it easy for customers to build and quickly update their app into the marketplace. Each app made by iBuildApp has a list of permissions which are a standard amongst the most popular apps on the Google/Apple marketplace to allow their apps flexible implementation for any feature changes in their app. App creators at iBuildApp do not have any access to the data from the devices using their app, the permissions allow better functionality of the features on the app. Regards, iBuildApp Team I hope this eases your mind. Here is a cut and paste from another forum on how to download the app to an iPad, those guys were not as smart as Mooney folks It is simple to get the “Airport Courtesy Cars” app on your iPad now. Go to the app store on your iPad. On the top where it says ‘iPad apps”, change that drop down menu to “iPhone Apps” and do the search. The app will show and you can now download it with all the same phone features. The app now lists over 1100 locations nationwide. Any questions just ask at airportcars101@gmail.com

I am a retired pilot and have developed a new aviation app that lists well over 1100 locations nationwide that has crew or courtesy cars. It has been well received. It is found in the Android PHONE app store and the iPhone PHONE store. I highlight phone because it will not work on an Android tablet, it is designed for phones, although it can be downloaded on an iPad if the user changes the search settings. Please search your phone stores for "Airport Courtesy Cars" and it will show right up. The app has already been reviewed by AvWeb and will be listed in the February AOPA magazine.
