  1. So are any of the newly designed Jet A burning manufacturers being mounted on the front of say a M20K of which I have or a M20J? These are popular are frames with overall low time and according my A&P buddy also a former Moomey service Technician able to take upto 300ish HP before the tail becomes the week link. I see this type of conversion as a massive improvement which would add of course speed, water cooling & a better resale around the globe since 100LL is super hard to get anywhere but the US and it is having trouble here & in the future. Looking forward to some great chat. Karl - N231AK
  2. I'm pretty new to the forum but I just finished working with Bruce Jaeger of Jaeger Aviation out of MN. My original 1979 interior was really looking shabby. He works with SCS for the seats and carpet and he has an STC on his Spatial Interior that gains some space back for the folks on the inside an the seats are awesomely comfortable and sit right up for much improved vis!
  3. Karl the originator of the post and this is the link sent back my my CPA which is close to the one Yetti provided earlier in the post. I am conservative and if I get audited I want to be a no thought no challenge deal. Audits are a pain in the ass, I went thru 2 as a kid with my dad and his businesses. This mileage thing looks good and smells good so to speak for my needs and the Mooney is fairly affordable to operate and own. Thanks again for everyones post and feed back. karl http://www.gsa.gov/portal/content/103969 This link contains the archived rates. For 2015, the rate per mile effective 1/1/15 should be used.
  4. Hey folks thanks for all the feed and info my CPA makes me prove or document or both and says if I do it now and we end up nose to nose with the IRS it is easy. I am leaning towards the gsa deduction which I did not even know existed? Always emailed the CPA for the mileage never looked it up.. THanks again!! Karl
  5. I have had my 1979 231 for a little over a year and I used it a couple times on business trips last year which I would like to write off on my personal return since the business is co owned with my cousin. I am more of a reader than a poster and this is my first post here. The gov't. makes it easy for mileage deduction but not much help with an aircraft an my accountant wants me to prove / justify what I am claiming which is why I am asking anyone else already doing so to share please. If you are an accountant then this would be a professional service exchange and I am more than willing to pay for training or data exchange. Karl kbreehne@yahoo.com 618-531-4563 cell
