Thanks guys. Hank who were you using for maintenance just out of curiosity? Hawth- If you find yourself down this way sometime with a bit if free time; I'd gladly buy you a few gallons of fuel for a chance to get up and check it out. Been a couple years since I was in one and at that point, didn't put much thought into ever owning one as it didnt seem like something that would be possible back then. Who are you using for maintenance? Thanks for the offer Maurauder, I'm sure Ill have a lot more questions when I decide to pursue purchasing one

Thanks Hank, Ill try and find that thread. I'm in the Portsmouth Ohio Area (KPMH). I know they are a bit tight from the little experience I have on them but giving how economical they are, I think I can learn to cope. I have an hour or two in a C model that was a customers plane and from the little bit I got to fly it, it didnt seem too difficult; although the person with me was a CFI and offerend pointers along the way. I've heard parts were getting hard to find or expensive, any truths to that?

Hi and thanks for the wealth of information at my fingertips. I've been lurking for a few weeks and gathering info but haven't found a real comprehensive thread relating to info someone considering a mooney should know and specific things to consider when buying one. I figured there is probably a few good postings that someone may be able to point me too. I'm mainly trying to gather info on the M20F. I'm probably a year or so out from considering a partnership or 2 years out from looking on my own. I owned a C150 for a couple years until we bought a house and I decided to sell it and focus my time and money on the house. I figured it wasnt a forever plane so might as well part ways and look to the future. Currently I am in a champ flying club to stay current and work on my rudder skills. I have a couple hundred hours complex in a comanche and am an A&P, but have limited experience working on or flying mooneys. I spent a couple years in GA but now I'm just working on turbine engines. Figured its never too soon to start learning about my next potential aircraft in hopes of avoiding a few head aches in the future. Thanks for any insight or thoughts
