  1. Thanks! I might as well try the water and ice method to benefit from the full impact of this thing.
  2. Couple of questions. I just bought one of these and am trying to prepare. First, does anyone know of a good portable battery that could be used instead of needing the master on so the power port on panel can be used? I would like to have the unit on and cooling during pre-flight. Second, it sure sounds like only putting ice in is much easier than also adding water. I am thinking of just freezing jugs of water that I can set inside and not deal with adding water. Easy to load and easy to unload without anything to drain. Does using only cold air (ice) work well or does it really change the game if water is used? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hmmm...there's a good chance I'm flying into DTO Saturday around 5:30pm. It all depends on weather...
  4. Thanks Don! I'll holler at you soon. I'm in NW Arkansas right now but will be back Friday.
  5. Thank you for the welcome! I'm eager to learn more.
  6. Hello all, I am highly interested in a Mooney and will be reading the forum for education. I did all my flight training in a C172 and haven't seen a Mooney in person. However, this bird seems to fit my mission the best as I commute 240nm each way for work and would like the speed and efficiency of a Mooney (not to mention the uniqueness). I'd really like to know if there is anyone in the Dallas, Texas area that wouldn't mind showing off their Mooney and allowing me to experience one in person. Back to reading and learning for me...
