  1. Anyone know where to find a serviceable brake master cylinder for a M20C? A rebuild/o-ring replacement didn't work. I've asked my local A&P, a MSC, a salvage yard & Lasar, they all claim that those parts are really hard to find. The Mooney retrofit is $1775- I'd like to avoid that if possible. The paramount part number is VI-15-625ch, the gerdes equivalent is A-110-37.
  2. East Coast Mooney Drivers- Does anyone have suggestions for good places to keep an airplane in the DC area? I'm looking for hangar availability at a "reasonable" rate. Thanks!
  3. After a major overhaul, I put about 60 hours on my O-360 engine using straight mineral oil. After 2 good oil analysis reports, 2 "clean" oil filters and stabilized CHT, I'm switching to Aeroshell W100. When switching from mineral oil to ashless dispersant, Lycoming recommends changing the oil after no more than 5 hours to look for signs of sludge. Is that really necessary? If so, other than cutting open the filter, where else do I need to look?
  4. Hello Mooneyspace folks, I'm new here. So I bought a 1962 C-model back in May. My wife & I have had a great time putting ~50 hours on the tac since then. However, after reading some of your informative posts about bubbling paint and corrosion in the wheel wells, I decided to take a closer look. I found one bad spot near the right gear aft attach point. Another spot I'm not sure of- it's right under the wing walk. It looks like it could be some sort of adhesive/sealant chipping off...or more corrosion. What do you think? Is it safe to fly? What's it going to cost to fix? Thanks! -Ras
