The rudder and elevator trim and flap indicators on my 94 Bravo are very, very dim. In addition, the top layer of plastic on their screens is bubbling up from age and apparent heat. Result is that they are very difficult to read in sunlight, and I have tried all combinations of dimming and turning up the brightness.
Any solutions? A friend of mine who knows Mooneys has mentioned the possibility of removing the bubbled plastic, but this seems a less than ideal solution. Based on my research, can anyone confirm if the indicators are manufactured by the Ray Allen Company? If so, is it a simple replacement?
