  1. I have the exact same problem. 2007 o3, this weekend, MP drops, jumps and bounces. I was over mountains at the time so it was very exciting when it first dropped... Soon realized it was just the gauge, but still. What to do now?

  3. I just picked up my 07, O3 as well. Love it. Some initial numbers, 8500 feet, full throttle 22"@2500 190-194 @ 16.3gph 50dROP 180-185 @ 13.3gph 50dLOP 175 @ 11.9 50dLOP @2300 Engine runs very smooth all the way to 100dLOP, is there any concerns in running that lean? Is there a minimum CHT I should be watching for? They are all well below 300. 260-280. Cheers Jgh

  5. So its been settled. Going for a 2007 Ovation 3. Aprox 500TT. Anything in particular one should look at during the pre buy? thanks jgh
  6. Great input everyone thank you. So I looks like its for me it's either, 1. Ovation 3, TKS with g1000 stec 55, or 2. Ovation 3, GFC with no TKS, or 3. Acclaim with both TKS and GFC but that's getting expensive, is it worth the 50-60k premium for the twin turbos. I only fly 200 hours a year, but I can get use from turbos. Thanks again.
  7. Thanks Gordon, I do believe its a buyers market and I am hopeful to get a good deal on a g1000 unit, however, upgrading an older model is sound option as well. What is the verdict on TKS? I would never fly into ice with a mooney regardless, but does TKS have a good resale? I think I would rather have the useful load and not sacrifice the speed.

I am currently a beechtalker, having just sold my 1984 P Baron I am looking to an Ovation as most of the time my pax seats are.....empty, and fuel is....you know. Looking for advise on; Mooney Ovation 3, possible purchase. 1. What is the cost to upgrade the G1000 to WAAS? What are you guys seeing for resale value on WAAS upgraded units? does it matter as far as resale price? What kind of premium should I be paying for a bird that already has it done? 2. Is the GFC a/p worth the premium over the STEC 55? 3. What is the general feeling about buying a bird with a recent prop strike? assuming the engine has been properly torn down and magnafluxed etc. 4. Has anyone ever actually put 3 pax in the 5 seater configured ovations? Thank you very much for your feedback, looking forward to joining the club. jgh
