This is the "upgraded" avionics panel.  Shortly after buying 55U I removed the Narco MK12A and its aft-mounted power supply (tubes, a few transistors here and there) and installed a then-newly designed KX125 NavCom with its own OBS on the LCD screen.  I managed to wedge a KN64 DME under the KX125.  

I flew it all over the USA, about 900 hours in this plane.
