An interesting article from Fraunhofer institute in Germany about making aircraft surfaces less sticky in ice conditions using Direct Laser Interference Patterning (DLIP). Santa Barbara KSBA Runway 15L

We were at KSBA a few days ago, landed and departed on Runway 15L. It is a rough runway and may cause the nose wheel to bounce up and down. Mooney pilots need to be cautious to avoid a prop strike.
