peter Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Our beloved Mooney is in for annual right now and we squawked an issue with the prop deice where we were drawing 7.5A in the first half of the cycle, and 12.5A in the second half of the cycle. This is a 12V 1982 M20k, SN 25-0646. Our A&P determined that the prop outboard heating elements were being powered during the first half of the cycle, but that both inboard and outboard elements were getting powered during the second half of the cycle. He verified the wiring and could find no issues, pointing to the timer. Two questions: Can anyone recommend a source for IRAN or overhaul of the timer? Is there anything else we should check before sending out the timer for repair? Many thanks all! Peter
