My overhauled engine came with round gaskets "no ears" and my bendix mags were torqued down. I timed the engine and torqued down the mags to 204 inlbs not noticing or thinking about it. They should have 62224 gaskets as pictured below (the slick gasket is essentially just a ring with no ears. I read stories about the round gaskets cracking the ears off bedix mags, am I hosed? Should I just inspect the ears change gaskets and move on, what else can I do? I know @M20Doc has come across this.
