  1. morale to this story, when you ever think you might be close.....shut down the motor and get your lazy butt out to check!
  2. sure did...thanks! now, $221 or can i find one from a air salvager. 2494-LH/W-2494-LH or 210384-001 is what ive come up with as a number. thanks for the info! rob
  3. looking for someone with a 231 parts catalog, i need the part number for the clear wingtip lens LH side. thanks!!
  4. i answered my own question today, it took 160 cranks of the handle. i just had it modified from the 20:1 gear ratio to the 40:1, so it operates like a snail, but supposedly will never wear out!
  5. anyone have any idea how many cranks it takes to run the gear down from full up using the manual method with the 40:1 gear mod actuator?
  6. my ammeter is always showing a slight discharge, had the plane 6 years so it's not something new, and i wonder if there's a way to zero it out so it indicates more accurately. i have an LED voltage level indicator, so the old gauge isnt my primary indicator. i just hoped it could be adjusted with a set screw or something. anyone have any knowledge of this? thanks! 7. i cant find it for sale online, i am looking for the mooney POH from Dec 1974 #1207. anyone have one they can let go of or know where i can either download or buy one? s/n 20-1165 1975 M20C
  8. did you find your fuses for the panel lights? my 1975 M20C panel light fuses were located under the throttle quadrant, which can be accessed by taking the throttle/prop/mixture handles off, then the cover, and the fuses are white about the size of pencil erasers, with 2 legs of them. hard to get to but you'll see them in there. 3 of them. my lights were inop, i looked everywhere for the fuses then finally found them one day there. if someone already answered this, i missed it. but that's where the fuses are.
