  1. Hi all, My HSI is getting no signal. Tests ok and Nav 2 working fine...something wrong in the middle somehow. Need a good shop. I know a great shop in NY but none here in Fl. Thanks.
  2. My flap problem is fixed. It was one of the limit switches that failed. That caused a relay to burn out which in turn caused the flaps to stop working in any direction. Google search for the relay was 4$ and the limiting switches was 20$ because minimum order was 20$....so I have 9 of them now. lol. Only time consuming issue was making sure flap indicator was correct. Had to adjust limit switches by sliding them up 1/8 " at a time. No problem really just took 20 minutes.
  3. Hi all, Thanks for all the informative posts. I have been looking for reliable info. for hours. I am based in Tampa but would love to fly via Key West to Playa del Carmen and then to Roatan. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Eapis and US customs etc. is really quite freindly. US customs will help you when they can. Even found a Mooney pilot who was a customs officer at Palm Beach who made my trip. If anyone has any ideas where else to visit while there would be also appreciated. Belize airspace is my main concern thus far. Safe flying...
  4. Thanks for the greeting. Looking forward to using the site, and meeting some Mooney folks. I came across the manuals for the M20J including parts, and electrical. It has been a big help finding these. Sure they will come in handy in the future.... Safe,Happy,Flying. http://www.atozvac.com/N201da/
  5. Hi guys. Just joined the site last night while looking for some flap switch info. My flaps went dead in flight in the up position the other day. Test light, 2 hrs. , a good mech, and we had it figured out. Switch in cockpit, 2 relay switches in belly next to flap motor, and a few limiting switches on moving parts. One of my relays were bad, googled #... 4$ online w/3$ shipping. (most places were 20$ tho) I do not have the part # for the limiting switches with me, but they are standard industrial switches that I would bet are under 10$. I was going to replace all of them but my mech. recommnded not as they very rarely go bad. So, hopefully be in the air shortly. btw...anyone have a service manual pdf for m20j's? Thanks.
