I contacted Lycoming Tech support and they did some research and replied that Part 68532 should be the correct part for my Mooney, so now to find one.
Regards, John R
So I found the parts manual for the narrow deck O-360, its Lycoming parts catalog PC-106. On page 2-3 the table lists 3 prop governor oil lines for the A1A
. Parts 68532, 71622, 71612. Any idea which one is for the Mooney A,B,C???

Thanks Clarence, my line is steel, but the nuts and fittings are aluminum.
Also my engine is narrow deck (internal wrench hold down nuts). So do you know what the part number is for oil line with steel nuts for narrow deck engine. I haven't found any place which has the 75166 oil line in stock, but A/C spruce lists it for $325 ouch! Sounds like that isn't the correct part anyway.
Kerry you saved me a bunch. I just checked my line with a magnet and it is definitely steel, just the fittings are aluminum. Thanks for the advice, John R
You are right N601RX, the parts are 75166 and 75167. The part I bought is 75167 and it doesn't fit, so I think I need 166, but not sure how to tell if the line is steel. Stainless Steel won't attract magnet, I will check with magnet anyway though, Thanks for the replys
I need a steel prop oil line for Lycoming A1A Mooney M20A. I have a friend with a M20B and it uses the same line. Straight fitting out of governor than 90 deg forward to run along top edge of right side oil sump.

Help, I have a 59 Mooney M20A. My mechanic noticed I still have the old aluminum prop oil line. I ordered Lycoming part 75165 oil line but it doesn't fit my M20A There is another part number listed by Lycoming for the O360 A1A (75166). Does anyone know if this is the correct part. My Woodward Governor has a straight fitting and the old line comes straight out and 90deg bends forward. The part 75166 is designed for a 45deg up fitting out of the governor and wouldn't clear the engine mount diagonal brace. I don't want to spend over $300 and get the wrong part again. Any help would be appreciated.
