  1. Thanks for the link.
  2. Yves, it's based at CYAV, Winnipeg's St. Andrews airport. Bruce
  3. Thanks for the tips, I got this straightened out with Frank's help. I was most impressed!
  4. A partner and I are importing a 1983 M20k from the U.S. to Canada. We have an appointment with the Minister's Delegate tomorrow to inspect the plane and issue the Canadian C of A. We thought everything was is order until our mechanic told me this afternoon that the POH is not current, we will need to update ours to revision 1228D or else it may not pass the inspection... I hate last minute surprises. I've spoken to Mooney about this, they're able to help but it may take some time. Do I have any other options? Thanks, Bruce
  5. Ditto on Jason Doscher. He knows his Mooneys and is a great guy to boot. He did a thorough PPI for us this spring - the annual has just been completed and there were no surprises.
  6. Thanks for the advice. I talked to a Minister's Delegate today and he's double checking some of the paperwork but like you have suggested if the STCs are in order it looks like there should be no major hiccups during import (touch wood). The prop will likely have to be overhauled but hopefully everything else is good to go. Tim at Strategic is definitely a good resource. I'm in touch with him and he's steering me in the right direction. I'm in western Canada, it looks like I've found someone fairly close to do the import although I've heard good things about the guys in Muskoka and Waterloo. You hear a lot of horror stories about the import process, I'm getting the feeling that a lot of these cases are due to a lack of research and understanding of the process. At least I hope so!
  7. I've got my sights set on a nice M20K that has had the 262 Trophy conversion. The problem is that the aircraft is U.S. registered and I'm in Canada. I'm concerned about complications with the import process since the plane has been modified substantially due to the conversion. Has anyone else gone through the process? Any other 262s flying in Canada? Thanks for your help, this forum is a great resource.
