  1. My electric boost pump on my M20G drips fuel out the AN fitting that protrudes through the lower left NLG tunnel. I'm thinking that this is a case drain for the pump and may be a sign that it is leaking internally. Does anyone know what this drain on the boost pump is for? The dripping normally stops after a little while however the last time I flew it did not appear to every stop dripping as evidenced by the small puddle on the floor of my hanger the other day.
  2. Well I fixed the problem. I tweaked the outboard flap up stops and the plane flys great hands off. Thanks for the info.
  3. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I figured I would just verify my thoughts before taking any action. My plane has a tendancy to roll left with hands off the control wheel. Not drastic but gradual. The ball is not centered and a small amount of right rudder seems to fix the rolling tendancy. I'm fairly certain that I need to bend the trailing edge of the rudder as per the maintenance manual to correct the problem. I just wanted to consult with other knowledgable Mooney folks to verify my idea. Thanks
  4. Does anyone have a good source for an oil temp gauge for a '68 M20G. I don't have the parts manual handy so I don't have the p/n. It's part of the engine cluster gauges. Thanks
  5. I'm trying to determine the part number of the red overhead flood light bulbs in cabin. I tried getting the number off the bulbs but no luck. They are bayonett style 12v. Thanks

  7. What power settings do people use for IFR approaches (RPM/MP). I've got a '68G and I haven't completely got the power settings dialed in yet. Thanks!
  8. I've been trying to determine best glide speed on my recently purchased '68 G. I've gone through the owner's manual cover to cover but I don't see it listed anywhere. Does anyone have any idea? Also what is the glide ratio of this same aircraft.

  10. Hello all. Just wondering what the general consensus was of the G model. I know it has the smaller engine with the larger airframe. Is it underpowered? What type of numbers could I expect in cruise? I'm looking at one that is for sale in Georgia. Is anyone familiar with a MSC or reputable Mooney mechanic in that part of the world available for a prebuy? Thanks

  12. Just wondering if anyone was aware of any Ohio area based Mooney maintenance guru's. I'm an A&P myself in the process of narrowing down the search for a Mooney C,E,or F model to purchase. I've got some limited experience with M20J's many years ago but I know enough to admit when I don't know something and I'd like to defer to the knowledge of an expert when contemplating laying out my hard earned $. Thanks for any input!
