  1. So the situation is this: I landed for fuel earlier today and ran into some trouble starting my M20F. Basically, after I achieved engine start and switched the ignition from the starter position to both magnetos, the engine would die. I tried switching to both left and right magnetos after start, to no avail. I used my electric fuel pump to push out any possibilities of vaporized fuel issues. After calling some experienced Mooney folk, they recommended disconnecting each magneto separately and starting then. Disconnecting the left magneto left me with no shower of sparks so I couldn't get the plane started. I could start it without the right connected, but it went back to quitting. Do you guys think this is an ignition switch issue?
  2. I've already logged 10 hours in my new '67 M20F to get it home from Texas, but insurance is requiring 5 hours of instruction from an instructor proficient in Mooney's. I'm based out of Carson City, and willing to travel a bit for instruction. Anyone on the west coast able to help me out? Thanks
  3. Getting very serious about buying one, and would like to make sure I fit inside. I'm 6'3, 215lbs and upgrading from a Cherokee. I fit in the Cherokee juuuust barely. Thanks!
