  1. I picked up an Ovation 3 couple of months ago. The amps draw on both batteries is -55 constantly from engine start to stop. It might move up or down maybe 1 amp and that’s it. The volts stay at 28. If I turn the alternator off the volts turn red and start going down. Called a mechanic and he asked me to go to a g1000 avionics shop. Called avionics shop and they asked to go back to mechanic. I’ve flown the plane for about 30 hours like this with no issues. I have been told that the plane won’t be flying this long if the draw was real. But this thing is bugging me. Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. New to this group here. Looking for a Mooney Ovation instructor in Chicago area. Insurance requires instructor to have 50 hours in make and model. Picking up the aircraft last week of February. Thank you
