  1. Looking for ovation exhaust brackets. LASAR did not have any. Any ideas?
  2. Found the old picture of mine broken off. Total cost to get a used switch installed was $545.00. Switch was 375 including tax and shipping, took my mechanic 2 hours to change it out. It looked like die cast metal, like from an old hot wheels car.
  3. I'm a fan of these: https://jet-shades.com/ We are based in south Texas and frequently in Phoenix. Significant difference in temperature with those shades. Stay away from most car type window reflector heat shields, they reflect the sun ok, but in AZ the heat they reflect can damage/warp the windows. I've owned the chest/radiator set up. It was cold but cumbersome and loud. I've Learned to preflight in the hangar, pull it out and go ASAP. Leaving it on a 100 degree tarmac is brutal. Congrats on the new plane.
  4. She was ham fisted for sure, but not an idiot by any means (masters degree and raised one daughter in medical school and 2 young men now at West Point). It looked just like the original poster's picture when it happened.
  5. Best theory. My wife did this to me when I asked for gear up. She had just passed her PPL in a 172 and wanted to fly our Ovation. Im typed in the CJ and 560 series and we had a dream to become husband wife team. She wanted to be SIC someday. She does a great walk around, take off and I said "gear up"...she handed me the switch. She was nervous and trying to make a good impression. My fault for not teaching her before we got in the air.
  6. I think it's the Sniffle Valve?
  7. Flying an ovation for about 18 months now and love it. First time seeing a drip out of the port anterior to the Gascolator port. Can someone tell me what this is?
