Am looking to fabricate a new panel facade for my '74 m20c. Any chance someone has cad drawing for later model m20c's? Already mistakenly purchased the older m20c cad drawings from SPLaser.ca, and they don't show drawings for my model. M20F looks close but still a bit off. I am not seeing anything in the mooneyspace files or images.
Also, has anyone ever replaced the panel cover with G5's in place? Do the G5s make the replacement a AP only job?
thanks
I don’t get any IMC flying so need to find a safety pilot/ flying partner near me. In the Traverse City area/ northern LP. Have a CFI in the Grand Rapids area, but am hoping to not pay CFI time or travel flying. I own an IFR capable 1974 M20C.
Guess there can’t be harm in putting the charger in the plane and seeing. The magnet is a very strong hold even with a case. No movement in the car, and no phone movement when holding the charging puck and shaking.
While cleaning plugs on my M20C, a mechanic saw this tube open off of cylinder 4. Presumably, this is a remnant following vacuum system removal. Would there have been a reason this tube was left in this state, or maybe a cap was dislodged? I was having plugs cleaned due to heavy pattern work after plane purchase and the thought that a lot of full rich flying was fouling the plugs. Yet, this finding would suggest this cylinder was likely running very lean.
