As explained in my original text, the unit was my friend Frank's who became a new Mooney order 3 or 4 years ago. I have been a lurker for awhile on Mooney space and Frank and I have gotten lots of good info here as we got him and the airplane up to speed on Mooney specific stuff. Garmin GI-275 Base Instrument. Part Number 010-02325-00, Serial Number 5MZ000720. Price $2650. Comes with a complete new install kit. Frank had this unit professionally installed in his Mooney by Precision Heli-Support at KFFZ in Mesa in 2020 as part of a dual GI-275 install. It was used as the lower unit as an HSI. At the time of the installation the Mooney had a mechanical back up electric attitude gyro. In 2022 that electric gyro failed and getting it overhauled or replaced was $$$. Frank opted to instead install a GI-275 with internal ADHRS instead in the lower position. That way he still has a back up attitude solution if either of the GI-275’s had an issue. So now we have the BASE model GI-275 for sale. It is in perfect operating and cosmetic condition. Comes with a complete new install kit, original 8130, and sales receipt from Precision Heli. Will ship in the foam pack box that the replacement GI-275 came in. Aircraft Spruce has the base model priced at $3295.
