  1. Yes. The mechanic says the longer one interfered with the yoke. I wasn't there so I can't say exactly how. He says I need one about half an inch shorter, or about 5.75 inches max.
  2. Good point. My 65 has been converted to a standard 6 pack.
  3. My DG is dying in my old E and really would like to replace with one with a heading bug. We tried one, the Edo Aire 4000c, but it was about a half inch too long. Anybody have any suggestions? Thank you!
  4. Yes exactly. I have the 337 but the STC and related paperwork (tech specs/supplement) are lost. The STC holder will not issue another one without 1) an OH on the prop to confirm condition and 2) paying the STC fee. Unreasonable? No comment. But they hold all the marbles. luckily the FSDO is happy with the 337 so all I need to do is verify supplement information, which another Mooniac was kindly able to supply.
  5. Much obliged, folks! Andrei, I really appreciate you taking the time to scan the doc.
  6. This would be awesome. Thank you.
  7. Howdy, Trying to reconstruct some missing paperwork. I have the 337 for the SA704NE McCauley 3-blade prop conversion for my 65E. The 337 itself suffices for required paperwork as per the FSDO. But the STC holder will not issue another STC without an overhaul to confirm condition. Ouch. I do not have any flight supplement/limitations for this modification and need to verify that I am within STC specs. It was installed in1990 and overhauled in 2017. But the overhauler tosses paperwork after 5 years! I can't catch a break. Question: Does anyone with this mod have a copy of the flight supplement and/or limitations? Specifically looking for any RPM ranges, required governor modifications, and any operational information.

  9. Where do you find these most informative reports? Would love to see one on the E
  10. Actually, in doing rudimentary research, I think the GFC500 is the only currently produced AP with the M20E STC. This sound right?
  11. Any recommendations for a shop to troubleshoot an inop 2 axis unit? Preferably in the South?
  12. No electric trim so wondering if all the wizardry of a GFC500 is worth it? Maybe a Tru Trak? Or even an STEC 30? We have WAAS on board so will want GPSS. Has anybody studied the cost/benefit of the options? Thoughts? Thanks!
