  1. Thank you very much for the advice! Mike Bush would say to fly at 31 mp, 2200 rpm, and pull the mixture back until slight loss of power, and just be concerned with cht’s. But I’m not sure about this particular engine. I basically have been flying the POH with a slightly leaner setting. 28-2350-15.2 seems to be ok, but maybe too conservative?
  2. I just purchased a new Acclaim type S with TKS and feel that every time I get a different Mooney I have to go through a dozen different power settings to figure out which one is the perfect ride. I am a LOP disciple flying at 16-23k, so would you guys mind sharing what you think is the best setting? MP-RPM-FF-TIT-CHT-TAS
  3. I am purchasing a 2008 Type S Acclaim. What is the deal with the usable fuel? I do not have the actual POH yet, but the owner says 100 usable, one POH says 95 usable, talks in the forum range to 106. Hopefully someone has the simple answer.
  4. Well, I am also looking for inner gear doors. I have a 1980 231 m20k. 550060-501 and 502 are the part numbers. Troy tjordan@windovango.com
  5. First post and my first problem! I have been calling the recommended list and Covid has evidently consumed the instructor community this week. I am a CFII, ATP, but the insurance requires a IPC checkout. Do you know of any instructors outside the of the posted list in the Houston area? Thank you!
