  1. I do have EDM 930. It’s new and I’m pretty sure it’s accurate. But I’ll double check with digital tach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What do you see on RPM gage on takeoff. Mine has new engine and showing 2630. Old engine was showing 2710 on takeoff roll. May be governor need adjustment. Engine hat 7hrs on it. It’s 1967 M20F. Thank you.
  3. It’s 1966 M20F. Period owner installed wrong line... there is no hole in it and manifold pressure jumping +- .5in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Anybody have part number for manifold line from engine. It’s metal tube with little hole in it. What’s the best place to buy it. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I didn’t know they have high performance coolers. My oil temp never got higher then 202 even on original cooler spot. Still thinking if it’s worth doing it.
  6. Just called them. They have it in stock. How involved the job is while engine is off? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. While engine off for overhaul thinking to relocate my oil cooler. It’s all stock 1966 M20F. What’s your thoughts on that. Where do I buy the kit? How involved the job to do it. Thank you all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you for all your replies. I talked to my A/P and he’s kinda uneasy to install those cables coz of legality. When you order them do they provide any papers making them legal to use? I know that they make them for Mooney but Mooney certifies them and charges double. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I found new mixture cable part 660154-003. Can anyone tell me if it’ll replace my cable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 1966 M20F. Doing engine overhaul.... and need to replace all cables. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Where do I buy all 4 control cables (mixture, prop, ram air, throttle)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. They do only their custom overhauls with 3 options. Starting at 41K then 48K and 52K. They saying engine will be better then factory overhaul.
  13. It is a quote from Victors aviation. I guess prices went up. Everybody saying they doing great job..... but you pay for it I guess.
  14. It is a very good engine shop with good reputation but WOW!!! I got to really pay for it. And yes .... I had to ship them engine and get it back in 4-6 weeks they said. Nothing is included just engine rebuilt with mags and fuel injection system.
  15. That’s what they do to OH the engine. 3 options to choose from. Lowest cost 41K and highest 52K. No accessories or hoses included. What do you all think?
  16. That’s what I was thinking.... it’s way to much money. Thanks guys. I’ll look at other shops. Any recommendations for California engine shops?
  17. Did anyone do engine overhaul lately. Got quoted today 41000 plus 5000 for engine swap. I’m on west coast. It’s a good reputation engine shop. Is it normal price?
  18. Attachment point of grounding strap to the firewall was little loose. Should it be very tight? Hope that was a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Found it. Thank you[emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Trying to locate grounding strap to the engine. Anybody know where it should be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for all your advises. Bussing sound only comes when I push the key to start. For sure it’s not shower of sparks. I’m thinking it might be solenoid since I don’t think starter has one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Power stays normal... it’s brand new battery. And I thing buzzing sound coming ether from starter or solenoid which were replaced less then a year ago. I’m thinking it’s wires might be corroded. Don’t know why it’s only happening when plane is hot. Cold start is normal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks. I’ll do that. Was wondering what was making that buzzing sound... got to be solenoid. Also it didn’t happened when plane is cold, only after shutdown and restart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 1967 M20F. Have new starter new battery both new solenoids. When I’m trying to start it after shutting it down hear buzzing noise and no starter rotation, or very small ¼ turn rotation. After few attempts it’ll start turning. Not a problem when it’s cold. Did anyone had that problem? May be it’s high amperage wiring? Appreciate your inputs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I did blow air up and it got better but still dripping. Going in 2 weeks to replace them and do that SB about drains. Then will also clean inside the tanks. Thanks everybody for your input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
