  1. Will do and thank you! Heading to airport in a bit. Thanks all! Will try to get pictures.
  2. Agree with air frame corrosion and must due diligence in the inspection . Specific area's to target? I won't be able to drill any rivets but panel access with mirror flashlight and video-borescope
  3. Yeap and absolutely trying to avoid such by good front side homework. Your making me wonder if I should offer 5K now LOL. Merry Christmas
  4. I have a borescope unit I use for PT6A turbo-prop engines that I was going to take with me. I was thinking of taking one of the push rod tubes out to take a look at the case and cam. It is a used aircraft so my goal is to buy it right.
  5. Merry Christmas to you as well. My Dad had a 201 years ago and loved it. We went to Oshkosh three times from Florida in it. So good memories of my dad and his 201. Love to have both back!
  6. LOL. Found an F33 but most Bonanza's are priced out of my league. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the reply. No upgrades to panel considered at this time. Just looking to get here safely in the sky reliably at low cost. (Most bang for the buck)
  8. HI All, I'm an A&P IA of 33 years now but mostly working on King Airs for my career. I am looking at the purchase of a 1967 M20F that has been out of annual for 5 years but hangered its entire life. Or so I'm told. The aircraft looks straight forward. No damage history in logs, Actt is 3300 and engine is 820 TSO with compression on each cylinder of around 75/80. Fuel stains on bottom but nothing dripping. Radios are original KX170B's but it does have an audio panel and intercom. Since the aircraft hasn't been run in over 5 years It needs going through. Heres my squawk list to date. 1) Cylinders have rust in barrells and need honed or replaced. 2) Moisture found on fittings so suspect same inside crankcase 3)Weight and Balance missing in records 4) Elt battery and type 5) Aircraft battery missing 6) Nose and main tires and tubes flat with some dry roting noted on mains 7) Brake calipers show leakage 8) Engines hoses need replaced 9) Prop due overhaul 10) Main and nose cushions need replaced 11) Fuel leaks 12) Engine control cable, mixture cable and prop cable need replaced (Tried to lube but no success) 13) Flight controls noise heard in rear. suspect bird nest due to opening noted in hanger Paint is about a 7 and the interior is about a 7 as well. Windows look good and as far as I can tell very well maintained through out its life. I am getting ready to put an offer in on the aircraft. Bluebook is around $35K in airworthy condition. With fuel tank repairs, engine cylinders needed. annual, tires and brakes, battery, ELT, 91.411/413 due, Prop overhaul, engines hoses just for starters I say aircraft is worth in present condition of $10K max. Thoughts all? Thanks for having me and look forward to any and all comments.
