  1. Hi M252, My issue ended up being just an old joint in the voltage regulator that was causing the intermitent voltage spike. with regard to your problem I am not sure i could advise you. at 2000RPM 28.6 is OK, did you get a high voltage indication on the annunciator panel during your climb? Sorry I cant help you.
  2. Hi, I am new to the forum and am a 252 owner from Australia. I have had my plane for about three years now and only recently I have began to have and indication on my JPI that I am getting up to 29.8 volts. This intermittent indication is relatively short lived lasting between a couple of seconds up to a minute during an hour flight i might see this 6 times. The problem can be resolved immediately if I recycle the alternators (generally alt 2). I know this is not the JPI being mischievous as the ship meter is indicating the same although not at the point where I am getting an over voltage indication on the annunciatior panel. My question is has anyone experienced this problem before? I am hoping this isn't the voltage regulator.
