  1. Thanks for all the responses! I was able to find Michael's earlier post and it looks like I'll just need a bracket for the prop governor. As for the core charge, Air Power did tell me there would be a $3500 charge for a dissimilar core, but the A3B6 is $2000 cheaper, so the net would be $1500 + about $200 for the bracket. Worth it in my mind, but I'm going to run out to the airport and run it by my A&P first. Thanks for the welcome Jim R.! I do love flying my '78 J!
  2. I have a '78 201 that needs a new engine. In discussions with someone from Air Power he mentioned that I could pay a bit of a core charge and instead of the A3B6D could get a A3B6 instead (separate mags). Has anyone done this? Are there any modifications that need to be done to the airframe? I don't want the engine to show up in a month and not have it fit! TIA, Dick Ewing
