Getting used to flying my new Encore (conversion) and loving it. But as a newbie to the plane and high performance engines in general I'd like to hear some best practices. First question is about descent... My instructor, quoting an old rule of thumb for turbocharged engines, says reduce MP by 1" per minute to avoid shock cooling.
