does anyone have a source or know where to find the mounting bracket that attaches to the yoke and that holds all the switches (ptt, trim, A/P disconnect, light, etc ...)

Digi-Key or Allied on-line for switches. As to mounting brackets, Lasar may have them, I know they used to. For custom brackets, any good machine shop could fabricate whatever you want of aluminum, then it can be either anodized or painted. There are  also on-line services such as http://www.emachineshop.com/ that can do it.

Disclaimer: that's not a recommendation as I haven't used emachineshop . . .  as I have my own hobby machine shop at the hangar.

I bought a PTT switch similar to the one N201MKTurbo listed and made it work but I don't like it. There is no click/register when depressed.

I bought this switch from Spruce:

I haven't installed it yet. It will go into the hole in the yoke from the outside and will have to be glued in place. The original went in from the inside and was secured with plastic nut from the outside. I should do the replacement in the next 6 weeks and will let you know how it goes.

I bought this switch and it is too small for a J. Anyone want it?

what do you mean by too small ? the hole in the mounting bracket is too large ?

depending on the mounting bracket you have, and how many buttons, the amount of space inside the bracket is often crowded. Small switch is often better.

i ll trade your for this one:

it is a 1/4 in diameter ( rather than the 8-40 thread you have)

These look to be better than the standard Radio Trash version, in that the shaft appears to be metal. They will not have a tactile click though, the button should feel "solid" when it comes to a stop - - does that make sense? If mounting from the rear and there's room for a rectangular body style, most of those have tactile or snap action feel. See DigiKey for a huge selection.

the switch is far too small for the hole. The one in there now is a 30-3 9444 (1/4" hole)  and the contacts are going bad, plus it has no tactile click.
