bonal Posted April 19 Report Posted April 19 Sad news, totally sucks man I hate it when these things happen. Pray for those that knew the pilot. 1
tigers2007 Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 It was clear skies and in the 70s outside over there when this happened. I wish he would have ditched it right there in the Ohio River. I’m curious if he thought he could have made US-52.
N201MKTurbo Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 It is a bit freaky that his N number is so similar to mine.
Jerry 5TJ Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 The NTSB preliminary report is available: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-repgen/api/Aviation/ReportMain/GenerateNewestReport/202840/pdf
Thedude Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 Were there a lot of winds and updrafts/downdrafts? His climb rate here seems high, especially when he seems to struggle to climb on other times > the airplane was flying at an altitude of about 700 ft msl, 110 knots ground speed, and climbing at 3,200 ft per minute.
kortopates Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 With the top of the rudder cut off and missing i am wondering if they’re suspecting it hit the powerlines over the river. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk At this stage this is what the available evidence seems to point to, followed by a struggle to control the aircraft. Hopefully the investigators will also be able to determine if there was an engine issue either before or after takeoff.
