GeeBee Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Guess private equity found out the limits of GA pricing. https://avweb.com/aviation-news/company-news/hartzell-expands-top-prop-program/?utm_source=omeda&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Email-News0-AVW-260407-Daily&oly_enc_id=5912C9519189D2Y
KSMooniac Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Perhaps they reduced prices 25% after doubling them? Last year they had a $1000 AOPA discount... Which is a drop in the bucket with their modern prices. Sent from my motorola edge plus 2023 using Tapatalk
AndreiC Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Well, I called them now, and their two-blade top prop conversion for an M20E is $16.6k, which they grudgingly agreed is an *increase* in price over last year. Oh well, marketing, successfully telling you black is white and up is down. 1

1980Mooney Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Read the fine print: "average list price reductions of about 26% for Cirrus four-blade carbon fiber propellers, about 35% for King Air three- and four-blade type-certified propellers, and about 21% for Air Tractor three-, four- and five-blade type-certified propellers. Sounds like they are giving the folks with the $million+ planes a break.... I just looked up the price of a new Hartzell Scimitar Full Feathering prop for my Missile 300 conversion. It is $43,404.59 on Air Power (and its really important that they get those extra 49 CENTS) and $39,545 on Ottosen. OMG. OMG ....Give me a frickin break...THERE IS NO REDUCTION - Those prices are up over 25% from when I last looked after Hartzell sold out to Arcline Private Equity. 1
hammdo Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Mental gymnastics, and marketing.. 100% it still costs more the original price b4 it sold. Nothing changed but owners. All about the Benjamin’s ( and Lincoln pennies)… -Don
