As much as I love spinning the knobs a million times (slight sarcasm), I am looking for a FlightStream 210 to pair with my 530w

A few of us that have G1000s (and 401.37 software) that wanted to be able to transfer flight plans from tablets did a group buy from a reputable avionics dealer.  These are FS210s that are removed during GTN750 upgrades (from 530/430). They are removed as working, then upgraded to the latest Garmin software and include the Garmin-branded serial connector (which is required by the STC).  All of the four we got have been installed and work perfectly.

When we did a group buy of 4 we got them for $900 each. In December one person wanted one and we were able to get it for $950.

@MJP PM me if you are interested and we'll see if we can get a group buy again.

Hey @LANCECASPER, I appreciate the details and the offer.  I am seeing examples of used sales starting at low as $500 for a functioning 210 with connector.  I am not expecting to get one necessary exactly at that price, but there seems to be a decent number selling well under $900, so was hoping to snag one at a better price.

Our situation was a little different than yours. We were attempting something that hadn't been done before in a G1000 Mooney in the U. S. There had been a German avionics company that had cracked the code on how to get the G1000 to communicate through the FS210 with portables.

We bought their drawing and knowledge as a starting point, but we felt we had to start with known-working thoroughly-vetted FS210s from a reputable avionics shop, with at least a 90 day warranty, the latest Garmin software and the Garmin connector in the STC (many of the used ones on the open market had cheap Chinese DB9 connectors). We didn't want the FS210s we brought to be blamed for any glitches and have the avionics shop point at the questionable used FS210 as the problem in making this work. We also didn't want to spend $150 per hour to troubleshoot any problems caused by a faulty FS210 or a software update. In our case what we spent was well worth it because once we got the first one to work, it was proven, and the others have all worked as well. We took a avionics guru who doubted it could be done and made him an excited partner who has done quite a few of these now.

In your case best of luck in your pursuit of an FS210.
