Know N437PA ?

Considering this plane N437PA .  Anyone know anything about it?

N437PA has both TKS and Factory Air. Mooney only allowed a few of those to leave the factory early in the Acclaims. After that they wouldn't build one. 

You would think that would be a big advantage. But most likely with both of those options, if you're carrying full fuel, with one person (pilot),  you are very close to max weight. You wouldn't be able to carry two people on a trip of any length, legally. (If it has full Monroy Long Range Tanks, which I don't know if it does, one oversized pilot can't take off legally.)

If you plan on taking a flight review in your airplane even at less than full fuel you and the CFI might not be able to take off legally. You should ask to see a copy of the most recent weight and balance.

Both FIKI and AC come with speed penalties as well. I’d be curious to see what both would do…

A guy in Nevada has fiki, AC and Monroy…..leaps off the ground.

It may very well, but if you have an incident on departure and need to come back and land over-gross you can do damage to the landing gear and airframe.

Also if you ever plan on taking a check ride for a rating in it, the examiner may not allow you to use the airplane if the two of you will put it over gross.

On one with all 3 (TKS, Air Conditioning and Monroy Long Range Tanks)  two standard sized people can't take off legally with half standard-range fuel.

omg that thing has 102 gallons of fuel, thinking 51 gallons of fuel > 1 other person.

I think the useful load with full fuel on the Acclaim with all 3 is 50 pounds.  Even the Acclaim with air conditioning and TKS and 2 medium sized adults allows only about 60 gallons of fuel to be at gross.  It's a 2 hour airplane with 1 hour of reserve.
