(not sure what engine you have and if this is the right part??? https://baspartsales.com/492110-2-alt-649012-garrett-intercooler-assembly/) Check out the Continental Illustrated Parts Catalog for your engine, determine the part number...you can also start calling distributors...i.e. AirPower.
N201MKTurbo Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 What’s wrong with it? I have a friend who builds custom turbo systems for race cars. My intercooler got a hole in it and he repaired it, and it looked brand new when he was done. And he has an A&P license to boot. Even though he won’t sign anything. FWIW, I asked him how much to make me a new intercooler exactly like this one. He said he would have to charge me at least $750.
N201MKTurbo Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 Do you have an intercooler? I don’t think the 231s ever came with an intercooler. They are all STC kits. And I think they all came from Turbo+. If they are gone, I think you are SOL. 2
kortopates Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 As Rich points out, these are STC mods for 231’s, but there are 3 different manufacturers although Turbo Plus has the largest market share but not necessarily the best one. Salvage is the only source now.There are still a lot of 231’s out there without these including some 231’s still with a -GB engine.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
