Matthew P Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 (edited) Looking for the right angle nutplates that are used to retain the avionics panel covers between the windshield and cowling, as I have two that are stripped out. I've looked in the parts manual and it lists the screws that are used in the nut plates but don't list the nut plates themselves..does anyone know what they are? My only alternative is to drill them all out to the same diameter and then tap them to the next larger size, would prefer to do that as a last resort. They look similar to the picture below but the nuts are rectangular as apposed to cylindrical: TIA Edited October 18 by Matthew P

That temporary solution isn’t all that horrible. You don’t need to drill it out, it’s already stripped. Just run the #10 tap through the hole and it works fine. Of course, you’ll need to enlarge the hole in the avionics access, too, which is maybe the worst part of the temp fix.
