N177MC Posted May 1, 2025 Report Posted May 1, 2025 This is for my New-to-me 1991 M20J MSE : Gear waring horn as well gear light (in floor) and cabin lights non-functioning . From the wiring schematic it appears that the cabin lights and gear warning sonalert share the same power supply, but other than that I'm struggling to isolate the problem. Any/all suggestions welcome !
PT20J Posted May 1, 2025 Report Posted May 1, 2025 Are the “cabin lights” you refer to the annunciator and floor gear lights, or the overhead lights that illuminate the cabin?

I have found that the wire to the lamp socket in the floor gear indicator can work harden and break connection after a while. The gear horn could also be misadjusted to the point it never somes on. 1
N177MC Posted May 1, 2025 Author Report Posted May 1, 2025 Thanks guys for the tips. I checked the 2 fuses near main battery, no joy. Will check floor gear light with multimeter. It appears that the cabin lights share the same connector as the sonalert in the roof - might be a clue ?
Yetti Posted May 1, 2025 Report Posted May 1, 2025 I'd be looking for a ground that is not grounded. Sometimes the Cannon Connectors need to be taken apart and put back together. Next place to look is the switches in the belly next to the actuator
