Based on the G100UL fuel leak thread what's your position?

G100UL looks to be the most promising of the unleaded alternatives and the unleaded  train will be arriving all too soon. Fortunately there are plenty of owners who would love to use it now and it benefits us all to have them gain real world experience.

My answer is not listed: I still plan to try G100UL. But I'd like to learn more first.

Look, my paint isn't awful, but it isn't great either. I presently have a small seep at two rivets and one access panel, within limits. Will probably correct at next annual.

If I had a problem I'd finish the tank of fuel, sand/scuff, prime, and rattle can that thing and not lose sleep over it. So much other touch up has been done with a rattle can and came out fine. BUT, what I don't want is a situation where G1000UL compromises the tank sealant. A much bigger job.

@gabez Not sure if you saw Don's mention above.  Inclined to agree if you're looking for a more detailed response.

"I have used G100UL and I had leaks/paint stain"  isn't quite the same thing as "I've seen new/increased leaks since use," "I've seen paint damage," or "I've had paint staining."

More over, I would differentiate staining from stripping. Paint staining is not that "bad", and most likely can be corrected with some polishing. The pictures that @gabez looked more stripped paint.

well, yeah, I was thinking of 100LL staining that can be easily removed, and worst case some polishing would fix it.

I can just see it now, if the 100LL is more aggressive than G100UL but the G100UlL is striping paint before 100LL that must mean that the Lead in 100LL must be what protects the paint on the airplane! Who knew? -sarcasm switch off-

There is absolutely no chance that GAMI was not aware of this. They have been working with this nasty stuff for more than a decade. 

It makes sense now why they insisted so much with "fueling hygiene". Maybe they were dreaming about everyone following their procedures without error and that all airplanes would have perfectly sealed tanks and no one would notice this.

Wow, that’s a pretty damning find and has severely altered my perception of @George Braly  who I have thus far been a vocal advocate for. Reading the previous responses to the OP’s concerns, there isn’t even a remote sense of skepticism for the product, concern for correction, or doubt about the proper mixture of the batch. Just a flat out denial and after a garage experiment that took a guy 4 days, it’s nearly impossible to believe this hasn’t been observed over the last decade of lab testing at GAMI. 

It seems a bias tunnel vision to see through the arduous process of certification is obviously occurring. 
 

I hope there is an isolated issue to point to, but I don’t feel confident there is one smoking gun.
