Rocket N1149G made a westbound transatlantic crossing yesterday (Thanksgiving) & today!

I noticed N1149G this morning making a hop from Iceland to Greenland when I punched up my FlightAware display of Mooneys in the air. Apparently, it left Wick, Scotland on Thanksgiving and overnighted in Iceland. Since then, it's made a hop to Greenland and then Goose Bay, and right now it's on approach into Bangor, Maine--its third leg of the day. Looks like some 11 hours in the air today, presumably much of it in a survival suit. Wow! (I've done 12-15 hour days in an M20K before--but not crossing an ocean and wearing gear!)

From the registration history, it appears to have changed hands earlier this month.

Anyone know the story--especially who's doing a North Atlantic ferry flight in late November? That's bold!

How did you punch up FlightAware to see Mooneys? I thought you had to search one tail number at a time.

I use this link, which I stumbled across somewhere. Originally, it only showed M20P (normally aspirated models), but I tweaked on it and got it to show M20T models as well.

Go to the web based FlightAware - not the App. There is a drop down menu in the upper left corner. Click “Flight Tracking”. Then from that drop down click on “Browse By Aircraft Type”.

Ah, so THAT'S where the link I've been using originally came from! Thanks! :)

It’s linked from the home page of mooney.com - that’s where I always go to find it :)
