Looking for casino trip next week.

Recommended Posts

Looks like next week is going to be a great week to fly in Texas and I have a few days off.  Does anyone know of a pilot friendly destination to fly with airport pickup services to a local casino.  I was thinking about Louisana or OK as I am in the DFW area.  Otherwise I guess we can just rent a car.

Thanks,

Don

If you are looking for a quick flight and some level of variety (nothing like Vegas obviously) try Shreveport.  You can fly into KDTN in about 45 minutes from the DFW area.  If you call one of the casinos ahead of time they will have a Limo waiting for you at the ramp and get you back when you are done giving away your money (the house ALWAYS wins). Limo services are usually gratis but you are responsible for your gambling losses ;). I flew out my father-in-law last year and he had a great time at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino.

Winstar is across the border in OK but somewhat limited.

Thanks for all the input.  I believe that SHV looks the best for us at this point.  I called the FBO there and they say all the casinos pick up there at their place.  One downside against WIndstar in OK is that you pay .50 to the house per hand on blackjack just to play.  I loose enough sometimes without having to pay an ante.
