Thanks for the PIREP on MMSD. What a friggin' nightmare! I'll stick with MMSL if I ever fly my Mooney down there again.

 

I hope you have MUCH better luck at MMPR.

 

Are you a member of Bush Pilots International? They would very much appreciate your PIREP on their board.

 

Throw back some tequila and try to have a good time in spite of all this.

Actually Sebastian Romo, the owner of the airport, does set the fees. MMSL is privately owned by him. And he sees all the emails that come through.   Part of the problem is that Cabo is a major dest

Well the Cabo stop ended ok. Now in MMPR, which went MUCH more smoothly. We flew down the V1 airway. Lots of visible thunderstorms to our East, but smooth ride for us. Landed at MMPR shortly before 9 pm, right behind a WestJet 737 on the VOR DME 2 Rwy 04 approach. We were out of the airport and in a cab about 20 mins after landing.

I am sorry to tell you this but the beach is closed this week here. Might not open next week unless something dramatic happens.

Beaches are open in Ontario according to the mother in law however she advised to bring my own axe!
