Looking for a Hangar Radio

If anyone has an old 720 ch com head collecting dust on a hangar shelf, I’d be willing to give it a new shelf to live on. I’m looking to put a CTAF radio in my hangar. If you’ve got one, please feel free to reach out.

A handheld works and I think if you just want to listen that a scanner is probably cheaper.

I’ve thought they same thing, just haven’t really researched it yet.

People are getting rid of "old" Uniden scanners that can receive aviation band VHF on e-Bay that can be had for $30-$40.   That's what I did.  I'm based at a controlled field and I've programmed it to scan three frequencies, Tower, Ground, and Approach.   Works great.

I have one of these in my hangar.    It's not very big, but it's plenty loud and sounds good.   I got it to listen to the tower, but it's just been on FM providing background music.
