Mooney Mite Engine Out Into Napa Field

[1980Mooney]

A 1955 Mooney Mite, N201MM, experienced engine failure and crash landed in a Napa field.  Pilot hospitalized with minor injuries.

There is no ADSB recording of this plane ever on FlightAware or ADSBExchange.

Picture on Twitter shows the left wooden wing to be broken.  Same plane had a ground loop at Santa Fe in 2019 per KathrynsReport.   Sounds like this one is ready for the trash bin.

Sad to hear about the crash. Glad to hear that he's OK. "ALL passengers were OK"??? It's a single-place machine!

No ADSB recording is meaningless, just means he hasn't equipped for it. Neither have I, and don't plan to since I just about never get inside or under Bravo airspace and am content to fly 10,000 msl and below.

Such a shame.  But I’m glad that pilot is apparently ok.
