RobertGary1 Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 Just finish changing my pucks on the mains (the right was trivial, less than 30 min job). So we got 3 a&ps standing around trying to figure out where the hook on the factory tool attaches to the nose gear assembly. The fsm diagram is so vague. It looks like the hook is far too long to attach to anything you’d want to attach to. Also do you have to remove the grease fitting so the cradle on the jack screw doesn’t break it or does the cut out on the cradle clear it? I don’t suppose anyone has a picture of the tool attached to the nose? Quote
kortopates Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 the cut out clears the grease nipple. the long arm attaches back behind the truss to cross member tube. it may not seem obvious at first but once you have it in place it’s really the only way it can work. I recall the service manual showing a diagram of what i am trying to explain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
