West Coast Mooney Fly-in Sat, May 27, 2023

Recommended Posts

Nice day yesterday in Hollister.  Cal Fire tour, glider introduction and a nice lunch.  Look forward to the next Mooney west coast fly-in.image.jpeg.fc453c76e3f2a920151653d28056f368.jpegIMG_3692.jpg.2c5b2d17f953eee71dcd67ec0a487bd3.jpgIMG_3680.jpg.24442541d55ec5161f40bdb3d964f937.jpgIMG_4642.jpg.c87cfc5156a6ccd1ef99959b5ab07498.jpg

Thanks for organizing this Skyland!

My friend and I had a great time. The presentation and cockpit of the CalFire S-2 was a highlight for me.

Looking forward to the next one.

FWIW, my wife used to be the accountant for Marsh Aviation, who built all the turbine conversion S-2s for Cal Fire. Right here in beautiful Mesa AZ.

She finally quit, because it was a sinking ship and there was nothing she could do about it.

If the Amphicar had wings I wouldn't want to fly in it.  But it's a piece of transportation history and always draws a crowd.  The fun factor needle is way up there.
