4/3 Update- the MooneySpace Special is $199,999.00. I dropped her off for annual at the Freeway Mooney Service Center at W00 in Bowie, MD on 3/31. You can turn this annual into the pre-buy. I plan to list N1165N on Trade-A-Plane and Controller mid-April where the asking price will have a “2” in front. If interested act now and reach out to me. Over 200MPH cruise! 192 knot max recorded speed. 185 knots all day ROP burning some gas! 170-180 know LOP depending on conditions and altitude 12.1-13.9 GPH.

It’s official, I’ll be selling my 1983 M20J Missile 300 in the near future. A full list of all upgrades, equipment, times, etc will be listed when I post on Controller, Trade-A-Plane, or both.

However if you are interested in this Missile reach out to me now and the hassle of getting her listed and dealing with all the additional phone calls and emails is worth a slight discount to me - especially for my Mooney Space family.

I sold my former 1967 Mooney M20F in similar fashion in 2011 through Mooney Space.

I purchased this Missile in 2011. I have upgraded it in many ways including:

-Replacing three blade full feathering prop with MT 4 blade non-feathering prop taking weight off the nose and restoring the feel of the Mooney (the Rocket and Missile tend to feel nose heavy). 

-Factory Overhauled the engine at the same time as the prop replacement. Prop and engine have about 140 hours on them. 

-Added a panel mounted an Aera 660

-Added a Garmin GTX 345 ADSB in/out transponder

-Added and then upgrading the JPI EDM Engine Monitor to the newer style able to process the most up to date software

-Added a an electric lifesaver gyro in place of the turn and bank coordinator

-Added a vertically articulating passenger seat from an M20K model

-Added a mid continent clock/timer with two USB power ports

-This Missile will fly between 170 and 182 knots all day LOP and 185-192 knots all day ROP. 

-98 gallon extended range tanks

-KFC 200 auto pilot

-Garmin 430W

-“Hank” (purchased from Hank William’s IIi) climbs faster than an ovation and is lighter. Useful load is 1096 lbs. Range is 1000 miles in 5 hours or 1500 in 10.

-Dial the speed up to go fast or pull back to J speeds and fuel burn.

-I plan to price her below ovations, equal or better than most Eagles, Rockets, and 252’s. No turbos for lower maintenance, and she’s faster than most Mooney’s below 10,000 feet.

-Here are some pics (I’ll get some new ones before I list her on a website) and I’ll post panel pics in a few min.

-There’s plenty I had planned to continue to do with her - and I’m happy to discuss those with the interested parties.

If I was Seth I would clean up the throttle knob or replace the entire cable assembly, it makes a bad first impression.

I took some pics of the panel and interior as I'm getting ready to list her. 

I'm really dragging my feet because in my heart I don't want to sell her! But again, it makes sense to have an airplane you can fit your family into!! Or at least it does for me.

I've had good conversations with four individuals now. The Missile is currently mine and still available.

She goes into annual on 3/30 or 3/31 so this could be the PERFECT time to make me an offer and we'll get the pre-buy going which will turn into an annual (either at my shop or yours).

Do you guys think Trade-a-plane or Controller is the best place to list?

And I’m planning to paint the throttle knob on Friday with a little touch up paint to make it more presentable. In the meantime here are some before being cleaned interior pics.

the Seats in the back come out in about 1 minute and can both be individually reclined to different settings. The high back seats act as built in headrests. 
 

I have used leather conditioning treatment on the seats every six months. However prior to my ownership there was some wear on the passenger and pilot seats. Pics show it clearly.

The nose bowl is a modified K cowling so it has two lights. I wired a separate three way switch so 1 light is the landing light and one is a pulsing on or off taxi light. I usually fly with the landing light on and the taxi light pulsing except at night when they are both on.

Three complete different sides of the spectrum but a Saratoga, baby Aerostar (601p/602p) or a Piper Cheyenne II. The twins would likely come with a partner.
